A Few Perks Your Employees Appreciate

While you certainly appreciate your employees and their hours of service, these days it's hard to afford lavish perks such as big bonus checks or perhaps raising their pay. However, it's nice to be able to offer concrete ways to showcase your appreciation when your workers are doing a good job. If you don't have a bunch of extra cash but want to inspire employees and boost morale, here are some tips to consider.

If you are having a monthly or weekly staff meeting, providing food is always a great idea. It can be as simple as some muffins or doughnuts and coffee and juice, or you can opt for a catered lunch with sandwiches and salads. You could even create a theme lunch for each meeting, such as an outdoor picnic or a Mexican fiesta with a taco bar. Even just purchasing a bunch of pizzas and offering sodas, water and iced tea can be a nice diversion.

You can take your food offerings a step further and stock a few snacks and beverages for employees. Offer free coffee in the mornings and include a selection of teas, as well. Some fresh fruit and granola bars also could be on hand in case your employees need a quick snack. You would be surprised to discover how just offering some food and drink can improve morale.

When employees work long hours and also have long commutes, their free time is at a minimum, so you could provide some perks that eliminate some common chores. Send over a car detailing service to wash and wax their cars. Hire a housecleaning company to clean your employee's houses or pay for a portion of it. From time to time, you can surprise staff with gift cards for local coffee shops or restaurants or services.

You might have a business that requires that employees work nights, work long hours or perhaps work on weekends. Taking a break from time to time would be much more pleasant if you offered a perk such as DirecTV in a few common areas, such as the main break room or kitchen or perhaps in a conference room. Employees can catch a part of a football or basketball game, check in on the latest news events or just relax as they eat their lunch or dinner.

Installing DirecTV is not only something that your employees will appreciate; it's an inexpensive perk for you to offer. A typical DirecTV business account will include more than 120 channels including a huge variety of sports and news channels. Integra Systems can install DirecTV throughout your office wherever it is needed, such as the conference room or perhaps a waiting area for your customers. In addition, Integra Systems also is an authorized reseller for Status Solutions which provides monitoring of your fire panels, HVAC and other systems.
