The Weirdest Kinds Of Insurance Out There

Why cover other things?

Whether you own a small business or are part of large corporation, having insurance coverage is vital for company protection. Having insurance cover also protects employees if there is an accident on the jobsite or a costumer is injured.

There are five main types of insurance coverage that a small business or larger company should have:

General Liability Insurance: This insurance provides protection and damages if your employees or to yourself. This can also include coverage if your product or service caused damage to property or bodily injury to a third party.

Mariah Carey: $1 million policy for her legs.

This means letting the grass grow for too long, not shoveling the snow, and not picking up any newspaper or mail deliveries that begin to build up while you are away. It is advised to choose someone you trust in the neighborhood to take care of these things for you while you are away.

Egon Ronay: Is a food critic and insured his taste buds for $400,000 because his endorsement could make or break a restaurant.

Commercial Auto Insurance: Like the other insurance options mentioned this coverage is to protect the employer and employees. This coverage insures all company owned vehicles and the employees who use them. If you do not have commercial vehicles but still want to protect your employees at the workplace or to and from work you can get non-owned auto liability.

Health Insurance & the Affordable Care Act

Another insurance coverage that has been recently challenged is what kind if any healthcare insurance should be provided to employees. Health insurance is expensive and can be burdensome especially on small businesses. The Affordable Care Act has created some real challenges for small business owners ranging from higher insurance premiums, not hiring part-time employees, to less money for trading and new technology development.

Clearly, there are various types of claims and insurance policies that are as unique as the individual or company receiving the coverage. Many of these weird polices are tied to careers and incomes so it does make sense why they would want certain things covered.
