There are many people today who quit their jobs for various reasons. Many people would agree that this would be the best choice if you feel that the job is no longer rewarding.

You start to question - is this really what I want? Do I have other choices? Do this exhausting job everyday and only have time for yourself on weekends?

These thoughts can often lead to feelings of depression, stress and anxiety.

Things should not be this way. There are those which made a decision to quit their job and focused on running their own business or pursued a more meaningful employment or job.

Prior to actually resigning from your job it is important that you think through your reasons.

First, you will need to validate the reason for your resignation and make sure it is not only because your colleagues are talking back at you or backstabbing you. Should you be having difficulties in achieving your goals in your job then it would be wise for you to resign.

You should also be understanding with regards to the present situation. Know the things that make you want to quit your current job. Would it be because you like to manage things on your own? Or could it be that you don't feel the respect from your colleagues? Or would it be because your present job isn't actually in line with your set of skills?

Moreover, you should not simply focus on what you are trying to leave behind. Know if your path will lead you to a better situation or state. Know that leaving your current job because it no longer helps you improve your skills and knowledge will not guarantee you something better. Question yourself if the job you're looking less hours. Do you like to take part in a company that provides you more authority or responsibility? Or probably very little responsibility? Would you like to work using your creativity? A more logical reason? Be specific with what you want and what you would like to do in your life.

You should also have plan prior to leaving the job which you currently have. Before you act, think of the consequences. If you think you deserve to someplace else rather than doing your current job then have a detailed plan which you can follow after you've quit. Before actually leaving your current job, it is a must that you already have a laid out plan. Make further research on the business which you are looking to have, job openings for jobs which you love to do, retail spaces for a business you are planning and others.

That plan of yours will back up your decision of having to quit your job. You will have a peace of mind once you know that you have a plan to follow after you leave your job. Having a fixed plan will lead your actions to your set goals and can even help you find possible better opportunities. You can then sign that resignation letter and hand it over to your company boss after setting up a plan - a plan of which can take you some place better where you are now.
