But, now there were printers that are useful to make it all easy to accomplish just a few clicks and the documents needed are well organized and finished. For a printer to provide an excellent printing quality, it should have a great videojet printhead.

This little thing that is attached to every printer invented today apparently plays a very important role to the way it operates. Aside from the fact that it gives an even better printed outputs or coding, it also minimize some normal technical problems from occurring such as paper and web jamming, label slippage and some more. This may just be tiny and usual problems for printers but it can still cause tremendous delays and hassle.

The component that was mentioned also can affect the printing time and how fast it would take to finish everything. Because of the pressure that it is regulating automatically, it apparently makes the operation be on its peek and even have it optimized. Because of these advantages a printhead provide, it became very important for printer owners to learn how maintaining them to lengthen the longevity even more.

Printhead cleaning are supposed to be done on a weekly basis at lest one session. There are several things that should be remembered when trying to do so, this is to prevent possible mistakes. One of which, is not cleaning during shutdowns so that the cap of ink would not dry.

The reason why it should not be cleaned during shutdown is due to the cap of ink would have a tendency to dry at the end of its nozzle. This ink cap is the one responsible for preventing the clogs in the nozzle as it prevent air from entering in the nozzle area. As a result, it prevents the drying of ink but during the shutdown it would not work that way so it is best to not clean the prinheads during that time.

Now, when planning to clean printheads, do not directly dismantle everything. It is important to put safety at the very beginning of every procedure so ensure unplugging all the wiring that is connected to the electricity but before that turn off the AC power too. Failure to do this simple step may lead to any accident and injuries.

Once that part is well handled, go ahead and find where the printhead is placed. Notice that it is covered and screwed pretty well, get a screwdriver then have it unscrewed. It should allow sliding the main printhead out of its cover once the step was done successfully. Now, completely take that thing out.

Check the surfaces of the printhead for any dried ink and particles that are sticking through the parts such as the nozzle and also the charge tunnel. Once, the dirty areas are familiarized, time to ground it and clean them completely. Place the printhead on a position where it points downward in the grounded service tray as the flushing of those particles is done. To do so, use a cleaning solution for videojet.

Do not use to much of the solution, see to it that the amount being used is only of enough size. Once done, let printheads dry naturally without using anything such as cloth nor tissue paper. Then clean the cover if necessary before assembling the printhead back to where it was originally attached.
