Airports handle a large population of travellers daily. To help bring sanity to the system, TSA, Transportation Security Administration, is responsible for checking passengers and their luggage so as to ensure that they have complied with the TSA travel rules governing this mode of transport. The agency also regulates the safe operation of other means of transportation on land.

According to the TSA rules, no flammable materials are allowed into the plane. The items necessary danger both to the airplane and also to the passenger as it may accidentally cause fire and risk bringing down the plane. Such commodities include; flammable liquids and paints, fuels, dynamite, and aerosols.

Liquid rules were made to make sure that the fluids carried into the plane are safe and risk-free. One is not allowed to take any tampered or half-used lotion, creme, or gel into the passenger unit of the aircraft. The quantity to be carried also has a limitation. One is not supposed have more than a hundred millimetre container in his carry-on bag. An exception can be made for medications as long as you have the correct document.

TSA has developed the liquid law which lists the allowable liquids and their quantity on board. Knowing what governs 3-1-1 liquids should help you avoid any problem during screening. You are not allowed to carry liquid which are tampered with. Their quantity is restricted to 3.4 ounces. Any larger volume should be packed in the checked baggage. You are allowed to bring over 3.4 ounces of liquid in your carry-on bag if it is medication.

Guns and there replicas may cause tension in the passenger unit. They are therefore prohibited in the passenger section of the airplane. An individual should declare at check in, any possession of guns or parts of it. If not, you might cause unrest and unnecessary tension at screening. This can cost you dearly. The ammunition should not have bullets loaded and be safely pack according to the law. At no time should a passenger have gun powder in the airport.

The airline companies are also governed by the regulations set aside by the authority. Any violation can lead to monetary penalties and some extreme, a legal referral. The violations include failure to allow TSA inspection, inability to comply with the security requirement related to control and checking of luggage. Failure to pay security fee and flying passengers on the no-fly list also qualifies as a violation.

The Airport should make should make sure that the safety of the passengers and personnel is given the first priority. They are therefore directed by the TSA to have competent and diligent Airport Security Coordinator. They should also allow inspection of luggage by the authoritys officials. Failure to notify the agency of any alteration of their program would also be considered an offence. They should comply with the Security Directive.

The TSA was mainly formed to protect the well-being of passengers and their cargo and also avoid a fatal accident. We should, therefore, help the authority in the implementation of the standard. As a traveller, you should be informed about the rules and ensure that you adhere to them for your own safety.
